What is the horizontal vibrating brush method?

By using the horizontal vibrating brushing method, you can effectively eliminate plaque from the gingival sulcus. This technique has proven to be highly efficient in removing stubborn buildup, making it an excellent option for maintaining optimal oral health.

Mastering the technique of brushing entails gently wiping each tooth surface, resulting in the removal of plaque. This effective method not only targets plaque on the teeth but also eliminates it from the neck and gingival sulcus.

The specific operation essentials are:

To start brushing your teeth, grasp the toothbrush handle and position the brush head at the base of the back teeth inside your mouth. With the bristles at a 45° angle to the teeth and pointing towards the tooth roots (upwards for upper teeth, downwards for lower teeth), apply gentle pressure so that some of the bristles enter the gum line while others remain on the gums.

To initiate the brushing process, gather a group of 2 to 3 teeth together. Apply a short horizontal back and forth motion with a trembling effect, repeating this action at least 10 times in the same area. Afterward, adjust the angle of the toothbrush towards the top part of the tooth and continue brushing the outer surface that faces the lips (cheek) and the inner surface that faces the tongue (palate).

To continue brushing, simply move the toothbrush to the next batch of 2-3 teeth and readjust its position. It's important to maintain overlap with the previously brushed area as you move along to the next section. Keep in mind the brushing sequence and carry on with the next part.

When cleaning the lingual surface of the front teeth, position the brush head vertically against the teeth surface, ensuring that the front bristles come into contact with the gum line. Start brushing from the top and move downwards. Conversely, when cleaning the lingual surface of the anterior teeth, begin brushing from the bottom and brush upwards.

When cleaning the occlusal surface, it is recommended to position the bristles towards the occlusal surface and gently brush back and forth over a small area using slight pressure.
